Wednesday game nights: midweek golf, different every week

Wednesday game nights: midweek golf, different every week

Wednesday evening is the club's standing appointment. Every week we set up a different game format on the simulators, and whoever shows up plays.

What a game night looks like

The format changes weekly. One Wednesday it's closest-to-the-pin on island greens; the next it's a team scramble, a long-drive contest, or a skins game on a course nobody's played before. The variety is the point: formats you'd never set up on your own, and shots you'd never practice otherwise.

Rounds are short and social. You rotate, you talk, you watch other people's swings between your own. Winners take small prizes, and bragging rights last exactly seven days, until the next format resets the table.

Come alone, leave with a foursome

The most common way people join: they book a regular Wednesday slot, hear the noise from the next bay, and get pulled in. If you're new to the club, or new to golf, game night is the easiest entry point we have. Formats are handicap-friendly by design, so a beginner and a single-digit player can compete on the same leaderboard and both have a real chance.

It's also the natural recruiting ground for the Monthly League: most league regulars started as Wednesday drop-ins.

The practical details

Wednesday evenings at the club in Otopeni. No equipment needed, clubs are available here, and no partner required. Weather is irrelevant by definition.

Ask at reception what this week's format is, or just book a Wednesday evening slot at champdugolf.ro/booking and join in.
